Anyone going to watch?

I'm more into the jockeys then horses. Animal Planet had a great series called Jockeys for two season. Awesome show!! So I'll be watching for Mike Smith, Garrett Gomez and the young kid Joe Talamo. Also be watching for trainer Bob Baffert, of course no stranger to the Derbys.

I use to go to the track here called Lone Star Park, just down the highway from Cowboys Stadium. I haven't been in years though.

It will be a wet one. Track looks sloppy. They just showed T.O. pulling up...lol. I guess he has to be all places to get attention.

I had em last year on Mine That Bird, didn't bet him this year. Only one of my horses finished in the top five. OUCH!

Congrats to Borel. Awesome. And way to go Pletcher on your first Derby win!!

Derby is such a crap shoot to bet let alone handicap so I always bet the 8 and put $2 to win, place, and show on him and also put him in an exacta box with 3 or 4 horses. Usually, I can hit it -- was way off this year.

Maybe, I'll get a big win this spring/summer. Lots of good races coming up after the Belmont.

Just got in, had a long day. If you ever get the chance to come to Church Hill Downs during the derby, you should not pass it up. Its a great experience, i attend the derby every year. Im about 5-10 min. from Church Hill Downs. Its a great place, used to work there.

My Mom and I always watch. We pick 3 horses for win, place and show. This year we hit the win, the show, and 8th place. Not bad.

The guy who had the dream bet that won $900,000. That was the worst toupe ever.

But now he can buy a better one.

I try and watch it every year as well. Now that we have a winner in the Kentucky Derby I'll be pulling for Super Saver to do what has not been done since 1978 when Affirmed won the Triple Crown.

Its a poor year for the 3 year olds; no real dominant horses. So it could be like 77 when Seatle Slew won it all.
