I understand he is under contract and next season will more than likely be his last with the Browns but I think he is who this team really needs. He gets his players to play, he has consistently got them to over perform year in and year out besides the most recent season. Just need to pair him with a good OC and imo would be a good improvement over what we have now.

You suggesting the Cowboys trade for him? Why would the Browns do that?

He has one foot out the door already. His coordinators were let go, so this is his contract year. I have no idea what the Browns would ask for in return but just bad timing tbh.

He’s a good coach with a really messed up QB situation and if they draft a QB does Stefanski play him immediately because the highly expensive Watson cannot last a season and is headed to IR at any moment . Sounds like Dallas .

I think a lot of success in the NFL is situational. Stefanski's been coaching long enough to show us that he's clearly good at it, but Cleveland has put him in an impossible situation. He has $60M tied up in a QB who isn't going to play a snap this season. How do you win in the NFL when you're working with 85% of the cap space of everyone else?

It's like coaching for the Jets, where your owner is vetoing trades based on players' Madden scores. Sometimes a coach just has his hands tied behind his back.

Anyway, Cleveland will lose a bunch of games in 2025, and they'll clean house of Stefanski and Berry next winter. If they want to cut to the chase now, I'd definitely be willing to can McCarthy and trade for Stefanski.
