So I am watching the Sugar Bowl last night between Ark. and Ohio St. and my 8 year old daughter decides to watch it with me. Now she doesn't know much about football and begins to ask a lot of questions. She then says to me "that red team is not helping out that guy who keeps on throwing them the ball. They keep on dropping everything he throws to them. They must not like him for some reason." At the end of the game when Ohio St intercepts Mallet's pass she says to me "that was nice of that guy to finally catch a pass from that guy. I betcha it made him feel good to do that for someone. His parents must have taught him to share when he was younger." When I told her that the qb made a mistake, she quickly added "well then he needs to correct that mistake and the guy who caught the ball should give it back so he can. You and mommy tell me I need to correct my home work when I make mistakes. He needs to do the same." She then walked out of the room.

Classic, .. I wish I had a little girl. I was blessed with two great sons, but I always wanted a little girl.

Although that story could be an exact same conversation I could have with my 83 1/2 yr old Mother. :laugh2:

There are comedians who would kill to have her perfect sense of timing. :D

Wouldn't it be awesome if the two of you end up watching an NFL game together in a couple of years and she saw Mallett throw an interception? Maybe she would say, "Hey. I remember him. He still has some homework to do."

:p:

I did have big smile on my face and laughed. Kids look at things differently then us adults. Many adults should have kids perspecitve on life. The world would be a lot better place.
