Days of torrential rain led to Texas' worst flooding since Hurricane Harvey this past June.

McALLEN, Texas – Days of torrential rain have led to widespread flooding in southeastern Texas, the state's worst floods since Hurricane Harvey last year. Since Tuesday, 5 to 10 inches of rain has fallen along the Texas coast from the border to around 125 miles south of Houston, with more than 15 inches in some areas, the National Weather Service said.

"The latest Texas rainfall totals are astounding," said Weather Channel meteorologist Greg Diamond.

We have a true angel upon us here in the Zone. He's @RGV_C_Los . RGV's been helping a total stanger & his family, who have lost everything, rebuild their home with RGV's wonderful construction skills. It's rare to meet someone on a forum and become very close friends as I have with RGV. But when you become friends outside of the forum, you get to know that person very well.

Truly as a knight among knaves is RGV. But I knew this of him because he actually liked one of my posts and that puts him in Mother Teresa company for me.

That guy is lucky he didn't meet up with an Eagles fan first because they would have destroyed whatever home he had left and stolen his dog.

CLos is a beautiful human being. A true child of God. If I become half the person he is I will have made my parents happy. He, too, is a close friend of mine and has helped me in the past battle through some gnarly demons. On his own time, not on this forum. He is a wonderful son to his mom, as he is also assisting her all the while he helps the families that Daboyz mentioned in her lovely OP.

Thanks, Daboyz, for this thread. CLos is a wonderful person and deserves this lovely thread you've made for him.
