It's just so hard to justify anything other than OL in the first round this year, it's even hard to justify anything else in the second.

Oline first two picks might be the way to go.

But we also need help at LB, DT, RB, WR. Maybe even Safety.

Prospect like Barton makes a lot of sense as he can play multiple positions. A lot will depend upon if Biaz & Tyron return or not

2. Cooper Beebe, Kansas State or Sedrick Van Pran, Georgia or Zach Frazier, West Virginiaor Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
Can't fault him for not playing but would have been nice to have seen Fuaga play against that Notre Dame front yesterday.

That game was fugly.

This makes so much sense there's no way they do it lol.

I do think it's a good year to use next year's capital to move back up into the first or early second, if you can.

1 (28) Tyler Guyton
1 (30) Bralen Trice
2 (62) Ben Powers-Johnson

I would give up next year's first to be able to do something like that. Sub in whichever players (Fuaga, Chop Robinson, Van Pran, etc.) but you can come out of this draft with three OL/DL starters. It's an atypical draft with the depth on OL, you have to take advantage of it.

I gotta think Penix is going to fly up Mel’s board as the off season goes on. No way there are 4 QBs better than him. He should be a top 10 pick.

Age, injury history, and some question marks on whether or not he can make all of the "NFL throws" will be debate topics for him.

As of now, I see him as QB4 with Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels ahead of him. Penix vs Daniels could come down to personal preference for a Front Office and/or Head Coach.

For example, Penix seems ideal for the Raiders, currently picking 11th, but if they keep Antonio Pierce, he has history with Jayden Daniels. Pierce recruited Jayden to Arizona State and they were at ASU together for three seasons.

He’s the same age as Jayden Daniel’s (23) and he’s played 2 healthy seasons in a row after transferring from Indiana. He looks to be the most NFL ready passer and throws a pretty ball with a tight spiral. He’s 6’3 so he’s got ideal height. I’d take him over Caleb or Maye. Caleb looked terrible this year, and Maye looks like a stiff.

Prisoner of the moment.

I'm not sure most NFL teams would agree. We will see.

By the way, I was big fan of Penix at Indiana. I kept asking why is he playing there (sorry Hoosiers fans). That was before the injury. He looks like he lost some of the explosiveness he showed as a Hoosier. He has a ton of talent around him at UW. Their WR room would rival some NFL teams.

Well, of the guys I’ve seen this year , he’s the best QB. He was dropping dimes dimes 30 yards downfield and throwing into tight windows. He throws guys open. I don’t get into the metrics NFL teams use the determine one guys ceiling over another. I do know that most of them are wrong. Caleb is 6’1 and looks a lot like Russel Wilson. Not sure that’s worth the #1 overall pick.
