24. Dallas - Travon Walker DE Georgia
Dallas had a disappointing playoff exit, but it still has a lot of young talent, led by do-it-all rookie linebacker Micah Parsons. The organization, however, has looming decisions on several free agents, including Randy Gregory, Dalton Schultz, Michael Gallup, Connor Williams, Leighton Vander Esch and Jayron Kearse. That means we're going to know in March who the Cowboys have prioritized as guys to bring back and which positions will actually be needs by the time the draft rolls around in late April. Every team covets edge rushers, though.

Walker, whom McShay recently called "one of the most underrated prospects in the class," stands out every time I watch the loaded Georgia defense. He can blow up tackles at the point of attack, and he has the physical traits to chase down ball carriers in the run game. At 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, he has some scheme versatility at the next level.

25. Cincinnati - Trevor Penning T Northern Iowa
26. Miami (San Francisco) - Jahan Dotson WR Penn St.
27. Buffalo - Trent McDuffie CB Washington
28. Detroit (L.A. Rams) - Sam Howell QB North Carolina

32. Green Bay - Trey McBride TE Colorado St.

Brugler's even higher on Walker than Mel is here. He has him going at 14 and says it wouldn't surprise him if he ends up being one of the best defensive players from this draft class.

First problem.....not enough CBS in Rd 1
2nd problem, that may mean a QB will fall to 24
Third problem...we have to draft a CB

Like the athleticism the lack of production is concerning for a 1st rounder.

Give me Trevor Penning over a DE.
I like Penning.

But you have to think like Jerry / McClay. Who is the odd man out? It's not Smith / Collins. Steele has proved he is a capable starting RT. Josh Ball was drafted last season and without any off field issues was a 2nd-3rd round talent.

Tackle is likely a need for fans. Unlikely to be a need for when we draft

You can get away with ignoring it this year. Maybe even next year. But that bill is coming

I don't disagree at all. I would love some youth at LT.

But the people expecting a full blown blow up and 3-4 new starters on the OL are going to be sad come opening day. Teams don't seem to be doing the whole draft a guy and let him sit a year and groom into the next guy.

To me, it could be like taking LVE when we had Smith and Lee. Sure, LBs rotate, OL don't. However, we ran the nickel a lot so it was mainly just Lee and Smith to start the season till Lee got injured. LVE shined and well became the starter at the end.

We took LVE, oh the irony, cause Lee got injured a lot and LVE was hailed as a playmaker by McClay. Smith, like Lee is great when on the field, but has bad injury luck

While Ball may be a solution at one point, I wouldn't be upset if they wanted to insure they had a proper succession plan after Smith.

And maybe he is the BPA, or maybe not. Sucks waiting till pick 24 as so much can happen, including trades that can reset the board with a surprise pick

Penning is an intriguing guy. I think he could be 1 of the best OL in the draft. Frankly I don’t see how this kid drops in to the 20’s. I’m not sure he can be a LT but I think he has All Pro potential at RT. And to take it a step further I think he can be an All Pro caliber LG. One of the nastiest dudes in the draft.

Here's my sleeper ........ he's a bit raw and I'm not sure how he grades out but 3rd round maybe. Notice this kid has Parsons-like speed. Imagine the two on the field together....

5. CHANNING TINDALL, GEORGIA
BIG BOARD RANK: 69
Tindall may be the fastest linebacker in the country. Watching him move from sideline to sideline is a joy. In his first year of serious playing time, Tindall earned an 83.0 overall grade on 390 snaps.

He’s a baller. I’m not sure he makes it to us, but I’d love to have him.

I think the Eagles are going to use at least one of their first round picks on offensive line, especially if Kelce retires. Brandon Brooks announced his retirement yesterday so the Eagles need to bolster their OL.
