Blizzard is on the hot seat as the Korean Fair Trade Commission raided the studio's Seoul office to gather evidence as to whether or not Blizzard violated the country's law. The FTC performed the raid due to allegations that Blizzard is refusing to refund players who purchased and were attempting to return Diablo III.

Dissatisfied customers who couldn't log into the game were denied a full refund by Blizzard, which said that it was under no obligation to do so under the game's contract. The studio claims that it has a strict policy of "no refunds" in the country if a product is used.

I would really like to see more of this take place. The gaming companies should not be able to launch a game that is ONLINE play mode only, to then have infrastructure issues where they cannot support that ONLINE mode for the customer.

If they have those issues where the experience is far from normal as outages are concerned, the customer SHOULD ALWAYS be allowed a full and warranted refund from said company.

Its crap the things the gaming companies are getting away with these days due to poor launch and not having a game prepared and basically putting out BETA versions for the customer to test but call it production ready.

Horse poop!

Go Korea...get yours...

Gaming companies are looking out for themselves because it's so easy to burn games now and then re-distribute them. I don't blame them, but something does need to be done about an online game that can't be played online.
