Kyron Johnson wants to be a cowboy

He is small at 6'-3/8", 231 with short arms.

In 2021, the LB role next to Parsons was split into LVE on run downs and Neal on passing downs.

Kyron Johnson would have to play the passing downs role.

The Cowboys already have Jabril Cox for that role and Kyron Johnson was not a better college coverage LB than Jabril Cox.

I'm OK drafting him in the 5th.

well....we do like kansas jayhawks.
drafted dorance armstrong and last year signed one as a udfa.
but his size doesn't square with quinn's preferences.

4th round at the earliest. Most likely more of a gimmick player and STer. Niche player.

Special teamer and maybe designated pass-rusher? Does not look like a guy you want playing meaningful reps as an off-ball LB.

I like the kid. I think he can be better than what Neal gave us last year in that role. Same basic size.I think a 5th and I would draft him.

I really like him as a later round special teams guy and possible nickel backer.

Just the kind of guy you want to find in the 4th or 5th.

We also picked up Daniel Wise as an UDFA

5th round will be an interesting round to watch this year. I’ll also start the watch for a kicker at the 5th.
LB,second Oline,

I like his upside and potential. You cannot coach pure speed.
