Lack of a run game

Again last night the Cowboys could not run the ball against SF just like their earlier games this season. They had only 56 rushing yards. Elliott had 34 on 10 carries for a 3.4 YPC average. Cook had just 12 yards on 6 carries for a 2 YPC average.

Now some of the problem likely lies with the O line. Much of the problem is lack of RB talent. Much of the problem lies with our front office failing to address the problem by upgrading the talent in the RB room.

Didn't our head coach talk a lot about the importance of a good running game before last season?

A good running game compliments and helps the passing game greatly. And our QB and his receivers sure could use all the help they can get. They have a boat load of issues themselves.

.....and inability to stop a run.....we got gashed again by SF RB3, and Purdy was clean in the pocket all night. The roster is terrible.

Again, I'll tell you in the case of this team. We have to pass the ball to the intermediate and deep parts of the field to back people away from the line of scrimmage. They don't respect our passing game and until they do, there won't be a running game. I don't care if you have Herschel Walker out there.

The only time we're effective is against bad defenses, like the New York giants. They have to keep people back in coverage. Good defenses can cheat up.
We did the same thing to San Francisco last night and shut down their running game. Unfortunately, their quarterback made us pay with his legs and arm. Ours cannot

If they wanted a run game they would've tried to address it

Now this upcoming draft is loaded with talent

Fix it
