Lack of takeaways a cause for concern for the defense?

Overall the defense has been impressive. Particularly pressuring the QB and team scoring, this isnt a bash the defense thread - just taking a look at where we can get a lot better.

Aside from containing the run, one area that sticks out is takeaways. We’re in the bottom 1/4 of the league in takeaways and one of only three teams that have not recovered a fumble. Edge rushers have been doing a great job of getting home to the QB, but to have the best chance of winning the next 2 weeks and really lift this defense up to another level, that ball is going to have to hit the ground more often. Who do you see generating some turnovers in LA tomorrow?

I don't think anyone should expect turnovers like last season. They will come in bunches most likely. Get a big enough lead, where them are in pass mode the picks will come.
Not sure what is happening, or more like not happening with forced fumbles. Those may happen also.

If enough pressure on Stafford, he does throw a lot of picks. He did last season. So we may get a few on Sunday.

To have 15 sacks and no fumble recoveries is an anomaly. The strip sacks will come.

Lots of tipped balls that have hit the ground as well. We will see some INTs off tips and pressures as well.

Bottom 1/4 in the league in turnovers now. Top 1/4 by the end of the year.

Parsons has yet to record a defensive TD. Believe that changes soon as well.

There's so much luck to turnovers that I'm not concerned and certainly don't see it as the the D "failing' in this category.

I'm a bit lazy to look up stats but I'd assume we managed turnovers last year as we were often 2+ scores ahead so forced the opposition to air it out whereas we've been in tighter games this year.

I feel more concerned our D gets exposed in the running game than anything else.

This is a very complex defense with young guys moving all over the place.

they're gonna start getting comfortable pretty soon confidence will come up and then the picks will come.
