Taking the ball away, and giving it back to our Offense has been a staple in this Dan Quinn defense. Over the last several games, we haven't had any turnovers. Will things change this game, what can be done to get more turnovers?

I think it'll be kind of hard to get turnovers if teams are killing us at our weak spots and we're doing nothing about it. All they have to do is keep doing it and doing it well, and that limits our chances of getting them (running the ball on us). Please give your thoughts on how we can get turnovers, and give the ball to our offense!

Teams have adjusted. The offense is not scoring 30 a game anymore in the last two games so teams don’t have to throw against our vaunted pass rush. The offense needs to get it going and then the defense can feast.

This defense is a paper tiger. Roars against weaker teams and fold like a house of cards against better ones

Great point Coogs. It's been a noticeable difference especially in benefiting from getting great field position from it.

Al Harris was garunteeing the fellas that Josh Allen was gonna gift them multiple interceptions....he was dead wrong

When the party was roaring I warned that turnovers weren't a sustainable or predictable occurrence. Without turnovers this defense can be & has been exposed. It would also help if some calls were made against the opponent so that they were behind the chains & having to play to our strengths occasionally.

Oh boy...

This may be hard but better teams are better teams because they protect the football.

that's true to an extent but IF a defense is really trying to etch it's place in the history books they have to be able to put the opponent in uncomfortable situations. The problem is this D was getting mentioned as reminiscent of some of the legendary D's of all time early in the year. That praise was too effusive. IF we were worthy of that praise, we would at least put the better teams in those uncomfortable situations and give ourselves a chance to get a turnover.

If they aren't getting turnovers they absolutely cannot get off the field.

The cowboys rank 5th in the league in punts forced this year at 3.6 per game (behind the packers, bucs, broncos, and Cardinals).

However, in the last 3 games, the cowboys are forcing a pathetic 1.7 punts per game.

Tua was getting the ball out quick. But there were passes that could have been jumped if the DBs weren't playing 7 yards off.
You nailed it. The corners were too soft against both Buffalo and Miami. The cushions were too large to warrant interceptions.
It changed in the second half against Miami but the previous six quarters was more of a prevent pass defense.
DQ (in Texas) stands for soft serve.

They fade the last 4 or 5 games of the year. Like they have no energy left, or get complacent. Or both.

I remember one year, back in the 80's. They went to Denver. Denver said Dallas is an older team. Tired legs at the end of the season, and in thinner air, we make them run more they will get tired.
And that is what happened.

Now they just seem worn out even being a younger team. And this has been a pattern the last 3 years if not more.

You mean he and the posters on here as if we were just going to go up to him and take it from him, you actually have to be in position and not be tired from being ran on all day

never get how you call a blitz to come, yet your cb's are 7 yards back

We tend to get turnovers when the offense gets in rhythm, piles up points and teams have to play catch up, even if it's to stay close as possible.

Notice the recent INT cold spell by Daron Bland.

And I dunno what the hell has happened with the safety play this year.
Really dropped off as compared to last year '22.

Is it a change in scheme ? Or have the injuries and wear tear toll taking effect on safeties
such as Donovan Wilson and Jayvon Kearse ? You just don't see the INTs, strip fumbles, QB sacks
and major physical pop n stops from these two as we used to.

Maybe just me, but I don't see Wilson up around the line making patent big plays, but more so in back
coverage more now than ever. And that's not even his best specialty.

I really believe Kearse's body is beaten up and he's not shutting down these TEs like he used to.
Coaches don't seem to trust Juanye Thomas ... and most definitely do not trust Izzy.
if not for special teams, i'd believe Izzy would be on the game day inactive list.

Diggs was an elite INT king, but Bland's record breaking INT performance helped make up for
some of that lost.

J-Lewis used to be big on INTs from the slot, but i don't think he has an INT this year.

Gilmore may come up with an INT, he has it in his ability, but i don't think he will collect them the way Bland and Diggs do/would have.

Our LBs are just not the turnover types. Bell is just now a converted safety learning the LB role, Clark does not
have the knack or anticipating instincts for turnovers,.. LVE has never been that since his standout rookie year. And he's a goner after this year, per neck injury concerns, imo.

Hopefully Overshown becomes that kind of turnover LB once he returns to pre-ACL form.

it'll be in year 3 until we see potential
