Let's just hope Peters wanting to play isn't to secretly "sabotage" our o-line for his former team. :p

It was his hip. Not sure if happened in practice or something from the Rams game that flared up in practice. He was held out one of the practices as precaution, so they said.
He did not practice on Friday. The other 2 days, his status was not listed.

Also, McGovern and Farniok stinking it up at LG.

Just fantastic news that Peters won't be out multiple games. Should help out both Smith and Biadasz
McGovern has been much better than I expected.
- He was terrible in 4 starts last season but good enough this season.

Farniok made mistakes but is surprisingly strong.
- He played really well vs the Bengals 340 pound DT Topou and held up in a few 1 on 1 snaps vs big contract DT DJ Reader.

Obviously Peters is an upgrade but his conditioning is likely not yet ready for 100% of snaps.

"Hip" is vague. Often that means a contusion type issue but occasionally it means a tendon/ligament issue (La'el, Chaz Green).
They have been vague with Peters "chest", Lambs "hip".
I guess vague is trending to be good indicator of seriousness.
Vague = not too serious.

PFF has Farniok and McGovern both under 40 this year on significant snaps,. They're not perfect, but they usually aren't entirely wrong either. Maybe this is their weakness - by focusing on wins by play, they're not normalizing by the competition. Our LG has faced a lot of tough opponents this year.

Don't want to get Peters hurt, but I've been for putting him in and playing him all he can handle. Even taking a break during a game, resting him, and then putting him back in. Get him snaps. He's better. And playing will speed his conditioning.

...IMO this is huge. Peters brings that special Veteran mentality, these youngsters need.

OL will benefit having him there. I knew CD was playing.

i thought Peters was having Pec muscle issues .. dangerous to try to play off that.

don't expect a lot unless serious injury to Tyler or Steele.

McGovern will get bulk at LG.
