CeeDee Lamb on Stephon Gilmore: “He’s the smartest defensive back that I’ve ever lined up against. He knows certain routes off of my alignment, and it sucks. It’s really chess with him. You’re not just running a route, and that’s making me better. … On the walk-through reps, he’ll tell me what he’s thinking, just off my alignment. … Just picking his brain. It’s tough going against him, but I like it.”

Translation: Trevon Diggs is dumb.

I like hearing that.

Last year, I was worried what we'd do to replace Anthony Brown.

Still like him as a player.

Are we talking about the players, who've been asked by reporters to speak, are talking too much? Maybe I misunderstood.

Sorry. Thoughts of jail and Greg Hardy did not cross my mind when I commented. Then you commented about jail and Greg Hardy. I did a double take when I read your reply and then I laughed. It seemed really random. That's all.
Maybe so. What I’m saying is in past years we’ve had a lot of distractions in come from suspensions, guys going to jail among others things so it seemed like guys were having to answer questions a lot about stuff brought on by themselves. This year I feel these guys are just going on about business and doing it the right way yet it seems this has been one of the most vocal offseasons. I guess different points being made I think I misunderstood your post.

Understood. I was not thinking specifically of the distractions that training camps faced in the past that generated soundbites, just the volume of total commentary coming out of this camp (so far).

Good for Cee Dee, it it will help him become a more polished receiver. Jerry Rice worked hard at making all of his route look the same when coming off the line.
Rice worked on his eye-and-hand coordination too but let's hope no one starts tossing bricks at Lamb anytime soon. :D

That is just an innocent reference from the Hall of Famer's history, young folks. It was not directed at Lamb negatively in any way. :)
