I am buying a new laptop, I have an old Dell that's been good to me, but weighs a ton. My daughter has a nice HP with a touch screen that's worked out great for her. I saw a Lenovo today, but I have never heard of it before. Anyone know anything about them? I use HPs at work, but I really liked the Lenovo, any thoughts?

Lenovo is the company that used to make most IBM personal computers.IBM sold the personal computers to them.( They also own and make the Motorola phones)
It is a good brand.
which laptop model you thinking to buy?

I work at Big 4 accounting firm and we use Lenovo. My impression has always been that most consulting companies use them. Because of that, I've never considered them for personal use but maybe they have branched out a bit.

I had a Asus and loved it. I think they make really solid machines at a decent price.

Search Youtube for reasons I don't buy apple and look for Louis Rossmann. He is an ***hat, but he makes very real points. (he has foul language, so I can't post it here)

After years of doing ordering our own computers and working on them...my workplace decided to outsource that to another firm and they came in and replaced all the (except I still have a couple of extras for various things) desktops and laptops.

The desktops are all these little tiny lenova Think Centres. Really dinky things that don't even have a cd/rom (so we use external ones when needed). But they seem to work really well and have not had any issues with them. Although I don;t use the work Laptops...for those that do, most seem satisfied except for the few that got the ones without the separate number pads on them.

These desktops and laptops do not appear to be high end by any means but they seem to do the job well enough for what we need them for at work.

Now if only I could only upgrade my wifes laptop at home to perform better on Diablo III lol.

I guess they are all connected with software installed on a group drive or are link shared.

I have two work Lenovo laptops and a personal Lenovo laptop. I'm a fan. I'm pretty hard on laptops and so far this one is holding up pretty well.

Thanks for all the input. Ended up with another Dell, I guess I'm a loyal guy.
