Which pick at #26 would cause the least complaints?

RB: Not in the 1st.
TE: Don't need one.
WR: Various reasons. Too small...

DT: Only weighs 300. Need 350 pounder.
DE: Don't need.
Safety: None worth a 1st. Not a need.
LB: No off-ball in the 1st. Not a need.
OL: Cowboys use too many 1st on OL.

CB: Would anybody hate Joey Porter?

Maybe nobody's first choice but about the only player I see that might not be hated by most people.

I figure, if you are going to splurge 1st round picks on a squad, it should be one of the lines.

Actually, I would prefer the O-line. They seem to be able to play at a high level for much longer than other squads and they aren't as expensive to resign compared to skill positions or DB's.

I don't like drafting skill players in the 1st round at all because that's just a future ridiculous contract issue. Now, If the Cowboys ever get a top 5 "can't miss" QB or EDGE, that's another story. But in general, I think they should stock the defensive front 7 and the O-line with their first rounders and take advantage of trade downs from desperate teams to get additional 2nd and 3rd round picks

My guess would not be a specific position but more of a top player that fell to us ala CeeDee Lamb.

So if a player(s) like Porter, Whitherspoon or Gozalez fell to us. Some may not want a CB but I think most do not think any of those three would fall to us so they would be a smaller number of complaints.

Same if someone like Tyree W, W.Anderson or M.Murphy fell to us. Less complaints even from those that say we already have enough at DE.

So I think it is not the position per se as much as it is if someone who was slated to be gone for us actually falls to us.

I think McDonald would be the least complained about pick.

A nice offensive lineman would prob get the least complaints but I want the speedster in Hyatt then one of Avila, Schmidt, Torrence, Jones, Tippmann or Bergeron in the 2nd or 3rd depending if Forbes or Sanders is there in the 2nd. Hyatt could really open this offense up.

RB - If Bijan were to fall.
TE - Mayer would set off a grumbling for those in the pit.
WR - Johnston or JSN would upset many
OL - Could start a revival

I will say this, the FO has done a pretty decent job of concealing their true intentions in this draft, gotta give them credit for not publicly announcing their selection yet.

There will be complaints. And a boat load of hate for the owner and his son.
Oh for sure, can’t please everyone.

All I want is for us not to reach and to pick a high dollar position at 26. Pretty easy concept but confidence in us executing is a little low.

Here is the deal Joey Porter great but my gut says OL Darnell Wright if there. You can say not OL but I believe in building up the OL as much as possible to protect Dak and give him confidence along with running the football.

I think he would add some attitude to what Tyler Smith brought last year. If he's there give me Mafi later also.

Whoever they pick, there will be a group of fans upset with it.

Fans were upset about Lamb, Parsons, and Smith, who are 3 of the best players on the team.

What’s funny is that some fans were as wrong as you can be on several of the Cowboys first round picks. When they pick this year, will those same fans say, “Well I’ve been wrong on plenty of their picks, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt”?

Nope. They’ll be going, “Idiots!” like there is zero percent chance that they’re wrong and the Cowboys are right about the pick.

Ahhh, you gotta love fans.
