LeBron James Opts out of player option

Lebron's Nike deal is worth over 1 billion dollaz. At this point he shouldn't be worries about cash.

LeBron has taken less cash to go to Miami and go back to cleveland.

Taking a few recruiting trips won't drive his price up...mediocre players sign max deals every offseason, he'll obviously sign a max deal no matter what

this was expected.. its a formality... he signs another one year deal with a player option... opts out next year when the new pba is in place, and gets the largest contract (yearly) in nba history..

nothing to see here folks... nothing.

Always good to have more leverage.

This is what it's about.
Dan Gilbert and CLE will do what he says or he can bolt.
Considering his demands have netted two finals trip and one title i'd say they willingly shut up and do what he says; same as Chicago with MJ for so long or Kobe and the Lakers or even Dirk and the Mavs.
It's the new era where stars play GM.

LeBron should milk every penny he can out of Dan Gilbert and not let him off the hook for that childish letter he put out when LeBron left last time. Besides, what LeBron has done for that franchise, he is worth more than the current CBA allows him to be paid.

Nothing to see here.

"I love it here in Cleveland. I have no intentions of leaving," James told ESPN's Dave McMenamin during the Cavaliers' championship parade. "There are some technicalities to take care of I'll leave up to my agent. That's right from the horse's mouth."

Dude is now royalty in his home state.

No worries.

King of Cleveland. Not king of New York but still a real big deal.

He should sign for the minimum in GS
