Byron Leftwich was supposed to be the Pittsburgh Steelers' security blanket. A knee injury might have yanked it away.

Leftwich was taken to a hospital for an MRI exam on the left knee that he sprained during the Steelers' preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers, coach Mike Tomlin said Thursday night. However, Pro Players Solutions, which claims to be affiliated with Leftwich, tweeted that the quarterback tore his medial collateral ligament. That most likely would end his season.....

Leftwich was terrible all pre season and has been terrible his last 3 teams he played on.

He never worked his mechanics and got rid of that freakin windup hitch throw he did and it made it such a slow release for him

That said, he looked sharp when he had to fill in for Ruthlessraper in that Baltimore game either last year or in 2008. Haven't seen anything of him since that time though.
