Dak held out for a short contract the first time around. Wanted to get a second bite of that apple.

This time I can see him holding out for a longer contract with more guaranteed so he can ensure he plays out his career in the the luxury and security of Jerry World.

Haven't heard any leaks on what he wants.
Last contract he wanted 4 while the team wanted 5-6 years.
If the team is hellbent on keeping him, the longer the term, the more they can lower the cap without the use of void years.

Honest question. Is is financially possible to do nothing and have Dak finish out his last year and then talk new deal after the season? I know its a huge cap hit but is it feasible.

Or because of the huge hit, are you forced to either extend or release/trade him?

I don't know how u can extend him after that performance. I know he had a great year. But he struggled in nearly every game against good teams. And he has been horrific in the post season except for the bucs game.
