Under his leadership, a great roster has been assembled and many well established sports publications and analysts believe this team has all the talent required to get to the NFC Championship game.

The team's success will be about execution, which falls on players and coaches, particularly Dak and Mike McCarthy.

There is hope on this forum for a Superbowl run, as there should be.

That is in large part because of our owner and GM, Jerry Jones.

Thank you Jerry.

Philadelphia Eagles

Cowboys Advantage - Defensive Line Depth

Last year's NFC East divisional winner is seen by all as one of the teams that will make it into the playoffs and possibly back to the Super Bowl. That's all thanks to how well their offensive line was able to protect quarterback Jalen Hurts and their ability to open up lanes in the running game. This time around, though, the Cowboys -- thanks to their additions along the defensive line and in the linebacking group -- look to have the advantage in this war in the trenches. Their depth in both areas will allow this defense to send waves of fresh defenders at an offensive line that is bringing back four starters from last year. Pay particular attention to how they attack second-year center/guard Cam Jurgens who is penciled in as their starting right guard. He could be where they try and attack this offensive line. The Cowboys may try sending heavy pressure off the left side in order to slide protection away from Jurgens leaving him in more one-on-one matchups while Lane Johnson is dealing with DeMarcus Lawrence to gain an advantage.

Cowboys Vulnerability - Offensive Line vs. Eagles DL

Much like the Cowboys defensive line is the strength of their defense, the same goes for the Eagles. Against this Dallas OL, they could be a problem, especially if the Cowboys sustain an injury to a starter. They have strength and speed along the line and with the addition of Jalen Carter they've added another monster in the middle of that defense. It's going to be tough for the Cowboys offensive line win consistently up front and without a quality running back that can pass protect, it makes it even tougher to protect Dak Prescott. Hopefully Rico Dowdle can fill Ezekiel Elliott's shoes. Tyron Smith is back at left tackle, but we have seen him struggle against smaller and faster pass rushers and the Eagles will be able to send Haason Reddick at him throughout the game. They will also test the middle of the defense with Carter, whose blend of size and speed could be a problem for center Tyler Biadasz who has struggled dealing with players like this in the past.

If this team maximizes its potential this season you have to give Jerry a lot of credit. Some uncharacteristic things have happened the past year.

Letting go of his hand picked boy wonder so soon is uncharacteristic of Jerry.

Bringing in a couple legitimate blue chip free agents is another.

If he closes those damn curtains on a sunny Sunday afternoon.... we'll know for sure he had seen the light.

Oh! Troll, Troll, Troll, your post, grating on the board,
Merrily, Merrily, Merrily you must be so bored.
Actually I believe you're the one who's trolling man's trying to give a guy props for putting some talent on the field that could be possibly three straight years of double digit wins and you come in here and you call him a troll that would make you a troll man's trying to be positive about his owner and his team and GM because it does look like we are absolutely stacked with talent sure there's holes just like on other teams but the negativity in here has to stop it's ridiculous and that would be you you would have now trolled him maybe you don't understand the definition of troll but you're trolling on this post not him

San Fransisco 49ers

Cowboys Advantage - Number of Weapons at Dak's Disposal

The Cowboys made it a focus to go out and find themselves another weapon for quarterback Dak Prescott and they did in Brandin Cooks. Now they have multiple weapons to deploy against a very vulnerable 49ers secondary that last season was able to focus solely on CeeDee Lamb in order to slow down their passing game. Outside of Lamb and Cooks, the team has Michael Gallup, who feels more confident in his repaired knee and second-year receiver Jalen Tolbert who had a great camp and preseason and preseason thus far. The Cowboys' offensive line did an excellent job protecting Prescott against the 49ers the last few times they've played against each other. Now, with a variety of receivers to spread the ball around, the Cowboys can finally take advantage of the 49ers' very beatable secondary.

Cowboys Vulnerability - Creative and Effective Play-Calling

If there's one thing that can trip up a defense it's a good offensive game plan and that's exactly what 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is able to do each week. Teams know that he is going to run the football and do it out of multiple formations, but his ability to give the same looks and run different plays out of them is going to be a challenge for Dallas. With most teams focused on running back Christian McCaffery it allows Shanahan to either use him as a decoy a lot of the time to fool defenses and open up throwing windows for Brock Purdy to hit Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle in the middle of the field. Dan Quinn likes to get aggressive and at times that can hurt them with blown coverages for big plays downfield along with missed assignments by players looking to make a play on the football. Shanahan knows that and will look to exploit it against this defense.

Put away the anointing oil. Some moves that look really good have happened in the offseason, but not a down of regular-season football has been played yet. For now, just root for the team. If this team walks away with the Lombardi, or if it comes close, then be generous with your praise.

The best owner for the Cowboys brand and the Jones family

Great owner in the eyes of ignorant and stupid Cowboys fans

The absolute worst owner for real Cowboys fans because under Jones relevance, marketing, and mediocrity are king and the franchise has almost no chance of winning a SB (which is what real fans care about)
