I'm not talking about how the Giants should have just kneed so the field goal would be the last play. I'm referring to after the Giants scored the GW TD.

The Giants scored the go-ahead TD to put them up 20-16 with about 1:30 to play.

Does anyone else agree with me that they should have gone for 2?

With the XP, it was 21-16. With the 2 pt converstion, it would have been 22-16.

At least at 22-16, the Giants would have the chance to block the XP if the Bears scored the TD, making the score 22-22. Even if the Giants miss the 2 pt conversion, they're still up by 4 points. What's the difference between 4 points or 5 points at that point in the game?

There is some logic there. Realistically very few XPs are blocked or missed but it does happen.

yeah, but the giants would have nothing to lose by going for two.

kneeling and kicking would've been the smartest.

(too bad it didn't work for my high school's team :banghead:)

chiacgo has suberb Fg blocking teams

kneeling and kicking, could have been disatreous. Just do the one thing that has worked all game long. and thats run the ball.

I guess we'll never know how kneeling and kicking would've turned out. I guess the Giants had so much faith in Rex's "horribleness" that they felt it was better to score the TD first and give it back.

I thought it was classy of the Bears to play with only ten men on defense the entire 4th quarter.

"Um, that never happened."

In that case, they suck.

It was even classier for them to play without an offensive line. :banghead:

Never mind. They made the right call
