Before I got sick with Covid my washing mashing was leaking. So I opened it up saw a pinhole in the water inlet. So I ordered a new one and installed it. My machine was still leaking, so I looked up videos online and I can’t find a fix, but several causes.

I found where it’s leaking from. It’s leaking from the top of the ring down the back end of the tub. So, where the bleach dispenser is there is a small hole On the bottom that drains into the top of the ring via 2 holes. So it says pull the ring off clean it and around the seal, so I did it wasn’t dirty at all and installed it and it still leaked. Thought maybe I needed a new bleach dispenser, so ordered that installed it and still doing the same thing. I took the hose off the bleach dispenser dumped it directly into the tub to see if it would stop leaking which it did.

I’ve thought maybe the suspension rods are going bad and it’s making the tub spin too hard left to right and the water from the bleach dispenser is flowing into the back drain, but can’t find any info that would cause that.

Contacted LG and they are no help at all. The unit isn’t throwing any codes either. What made me think of the rods is I noticed it does spin out of balance it seems, but no codes which made me believe that it’s within spec.

I’ve scoured the net and can’t find anything.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Unit is a 2016 LG WT1101CW Top loader.

Have you tried filling it with concrete?

Sorry, I know it's a serious and frustrating matter, which is what made me think of the concrete.
