Setting things up to showcase for a trade for Beasley...J/K
Good to see, need to find out all what he can do. Also expands Dez and utilize his talent even more.

No way my friend...Linehan and Romo just love Beasley and what Romo wants he gets. Besides I hear Romo
is just using hand signals with Beasley to set him up. They are not going to this much setup just to trade him.
I think you will see more Beasley this year, not less...JMVHO!

This will get Bryant into the horizontal routes early and often.

Thank you it's like we just lined dez up outside and said" run" how's he supposed to get open every play? Giants used to move plax around and motion him before the snap.

i just pray Linehan succeeds here, and not just the first couple of games and every fan is going off on a tear, so far it looks like hes using the players to their strengths or seeing what they can do, its a good foundation.

They want to Beasley to widen his scope. Plus they love Bryant out of the slot on occasion, so it works out two fold.

I hear that, it still frustrates me that someone has to be brought in to engage that process:rolleyes:

I heard on here that dez is too stupid to learn any other positions? Or was that an excuse for JG not moving dez around more and "scheming" him open?

Dez had some problems learning the offense. How much I don't know. You just have to be where you supposed to be in this offense.

He ran some goofy routes, or flat out the wrong route , early in his career. He also got tired late I games. It's not unusual for a 1st or 2nd year WR,btw. He even said that he would never let Revis have that pick he got 3-4 years ago. Even then, Dez was beastly at times.

But the guy is a fabulous Pro now.

Reportedly, they'd been working him in the slot but weren't as comfortable with him knowing his assignments there until later in the offseason. At least on Talking Cowboys, they mentioned this was one of the things--along with getting off the line faster--Dez has been working on this campe with Dooley/Linehan.

Given the issues he obviously had early on with his sight adjustments, I don't have a hard time believing it at all.

But, DFWJC, re: that Jet's trap play...I don't remember Dez's comments there. That was a play designed to fool Tony--that worked. Was Dez saying he should have caught it anyway? IIRC, Revis undercut that route pretty cleanly at an angle where Dez didn't have a lot of options, either. Or am I thinking about a different play?

You're probably right.
Dez is so good now, that he feels he either wins the battle or nobody catches it. Dez was hurt and exhausted though, and did not run the route right. Revis did jump it though. That ball should not have been thrown..in hind site...Romo saw Revis back to him and thought he could get it in there. Bad idea. Btw, they had attacked Revis earlier with some success.
But I'm sure there must have been better options for Romo.
Oddly, only one other QB had a game that good vs that Jets D all year. But that ugly pick still stings 4 years later.

Good to see Linehan is increasing the options for Romo to go to in the offseason. The more that talent like Beasley is used to the max of their potential, the more likely this team is to maximize its potential as well. Having another talented receiver able to take advantage of his quickness on the outside will only give opposing defenses more to think about and adjust to. It's a good idea.
