Longest Yard remake

Why does Hollywood feel the need to remake every old movie and screw it up? The original was not a comedy even though it had some funny parts in it.
Because if there is money to be made someone will try to make it, regardless of what it does to the memory of the original.

Everything Adam Sandler touches go to hell anymore. I used to idolize the guy.

I'll read the reviews first on this movie. If they say it sucks, no way I'm watching it. I'm really expecting this thing to be a bomb.

I noticed that about him too. His first movies (happy gilmore, waterboy, forgot the name but the one were he is back in school) were great, now all of his movie suck big time.

Billy Madison - great movie.

50 First Dates was decent though I'm sick of seeing Rob Schneider playing a stupid character in every movie.

If anyone has his first couple of comedy albums, those are masterpieces too with guys like Farley, Nealon, Spade, etc. before they all became stars. 'Toolbooth Willy" was the first time I've laughed so hard that I cried.

The Wedding Singer was good... but Punch Drunk Love SUCKED... as did Mr. Deeds...

This is a risky remake... the original is a classic...

"They're All Gonna Laugh at you" and "What the H*** Happened to Me?" were excellent albums. "Stan and Judy's Kid" was allright, my wife liked it more than me (Champion and Uncle Donnie were great!), we both hated his new album.

The only - and I mean ONLY - thing funny about the last album was the very first skit. I was laughing at that for a while.

I guess it's a comedy of sorts but Adam Sandler doesn't seem to be acting like a comedian in this one. It's a comedy but Sandler actually has a serious role. LOL
