Longhorn network my be on uverse by friday

A source very close to the situation told Orangebloods.com on Wednesday that a deal between ESPN and AT&T U-verse to carry the Longhorn Network should be done by Friday.



When I asked the source how strong the possibility was that a deal would get done between ESPN and AT&T U-verse to carry LHN, the source said, "Very strong."


I asked Texas president Bill Powers on Tuesday about LHN at a press conference with Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby if there was any movement on LHN distribution.

Powers said, "It's under very active work, and I'll leave it at that."


According to AT&T, at the end of 2011, AT&T U-verse had 3.8 million customers and was available to 30 million households in 22 states.

uverse now carries LHN on channel 1609, if it isn't there for you reboot your system and it should be there

awesome! im getting Verizon Fios in about a month when we move to our new house, so ill already have it! super excited about it! too bad the games that are on the LHN are in september and not october. I hope Fios gets beIN (the soccer channel) and ill never change providers!

hopefully time warner will pick up the LHN now, thats the major cable company in austin. I bet they will lose lots of customers to Uverse if they dont

the problem with uverse is that a lot of areas don't have the availability for the service so they have to use traditional cable companies like TWC and grande. Another problem as it relates to Austin is that most apartment complexes offer a set cable provider or you have to use dish so you really don't have the option to switch to uverse in a lot of instances.
