Just started to piece together my rankings for 09' and decided to throw together a quick mock for fun. Of course, the only thing we know for sure is that Dallas will be picking 32nd! lol

This excluded Juniors!

Round 1-WR, Aaron Kelly, Clemson
Round 2-MLB, Jasper Brinkley, South Carolina
Round 3 (from Clev)-S, Kevin Ellison, USC
Round 3-QB, Pat White, West Virginia
Round 4 (from Det)-CB, Vonnie Holmes, San Diego St
Round 4-OG, Cedric Dockery, Texas
Round 5-WR, Tiquan Underwood, Rutgers
Round 6 (from Mia)-RB, Cedric Peerman, Virginia
Round 7-S, Anthony Scirrotto, S, Penn State

This was very difficult, you just don't see that many holes in the Cowboys roster.

thats a good try, but 2 group things you forgot,

1st, the cowboys in all likelyhood will trade up in the 1st round using their extra 3rd & 4th rounders to get a big time profile wr, ( now i think jerry would be willing to trade up as high as 17th pick, so factor in, the cowboys # 1 pick, along with either their own 2nd pick or 3rd pick, plus one of the picks required last year with either the 3rd or 4th pick to acquired from cleveland or detroit.

2nd, the cowboys have most likely 3 compensation picks, due to fact we really didnt sign any big time players in free agency except for zach thomas.
The cowboys should have compensation picks starting most likely with 5th round with 3 picks coming for julius jones, reeves and nate jones. Now, I dont think the cowboys can get anyone for keith davis since he was a free agent.

Interesting, but why in god's name would we want yet another QB/WR conversion to ***** and moan about for the next four years. No Pat White please. :)

Don't know much about Pat White so I presumed he was being drafted to someday become a backup QB behind Romo in his 3rd season and then get traded so we can maybe get a 2nd for him. Cause if this guy is any good you better believe he'll be gone after his 4th season cause Romo will still be our starting QB.

As of today, I believe we have 13 picks for next April. We won't end up with that many due to JJ trading around all weekend. There will be a couple of obvious areas we need to address early as usual. But once we get into the 3rd round or so we could draft for just about any position. One thing to keep in mind at that point is you can never have to many pass rushers or cover corners. JMO but we should draft a pretty decent QB prospect every draft. You never know what could happen there.

I just want us to come out with a good WR that can be groomed to eventually take the place of T.O. when he's done.

Oh, I did not forget, I think your right but I don't think that WR is going to be anyone from the SR class. When the JR's start declaring I think we will get a better idea of just who and how far Jerry will move.

As for the compensation picks, I typically wait for Adam to make his projections before throwing them in.

I'm probably one of the few who think given enough development time Pat White can actually be a NFL QB.

Good call on Underwood, hes got al the tools he reminds me of Chris Henry w/o the rap sheet.

Or Crayton w/ more speed, and less size.

I really like Underwood, it would not surprise me at all to see him work his way up into the 3rd or late 2nd if he puts up decent numbers. I get the feeling he's not going to be a player flying under the radar for long.

He should put up some big numbers, Rice is gone and the offense I think will shift more to pass heavy.

He may not be a sleeper at the end of the day, speed always goes fast. But he could be the deep threat/play maker we need. Great fit
