Lorenzen Wright, former NBA star found dead: Suicide or murder?

Devastation lives at Lorenzen Wright's family home, as for almost a week, his mother reported the former NBA superstar missing only to find out on Wednesday, July 29, 2010 that he was dead. All stories surrounding his death are conflicting.

Lorenzen Wright's mother thought him to be missing, but his father stated that Wright was vacationing in Europe. According to Eyewitness New sources in Memphis, Wright's body was found in the wooded area of Hacks Cross and Winchester Road.

Sources report conflicting stories about what actually happened in Lorenzo Wright's death.

The basketball source, Hooped Up said that Lorenzo Wright's death may have been a suicidal act and that Wright may have shot himself.

Another report from a basketball source, Fear the Sword, said that Wright was murdered by multiple gunshots and was robbed of tens of thousands of dollars that he was carrying around with him.

Germantown police say a 911 call was turned over to Memphis police in connection with this incident. An investigation will take place to figure out what exactly happened.

Wright, who was drafted 7th overall by the LA Clippers and went on to play for the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2008-2009 season will be sadly missed by his fans, his family and his six children.

It wasn't suicide. He was shot 10-14 times. :(

It's heart breaking. I have followed his career from when he was a Freshman at Memphis until now. I always enjoyed watching him play.
