CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
Brand Keys released the most recent Fan Loyalty Index for each major sport.

It looks to me like winning plays a huge factor in how this formula works because all of "most loyal" fans seem to support the top teams. Maybe they should factor in support when losing too (maybe they do).
They also list the five worst but I won't post that.

Anyway, here you go:

NFL
1) Patriots
2) Steelers
3) Colts
4) Packers
5) Jets

Note: no Cowboys...even though we led the league in attendance while having a losing record. But that list is pretty solid.
----------------

NBA
1) Spurs
2) Lakers
3) Mavericks
4) Celtics
5) Suns

Note: Not surprised the Spurs are on top. Winning team every year and that city is one of the very worst for sports in the country otherwise. Some may be shocked to see the Mavs at #3. But they have been near or at the top of the league in attendance for 10 years now and viewship overall is high.
--------------------------------

MLB
1) Phillies
2) Yankess
3) Red Sox
4) Giants
5) Dodgers

note: suprised to see Phils at #1 vs #3.
---------------------
NHL
1) Red Wings
2) Flyers
3) Sharks
4) Canucks
5) Bruins

note: Red Wing fans are rabid

Surprised that the Jets were as high as they were. But again, it looks like they don't weight the thing well on how fan react through good and bad times. All those teams did well last year.

Yeah, kind of flies in the face of the word "loyalty." I don't think the Patriots and Colts should be up there. Yeah, they've been good for the past decade, but before that?

How Cleveland and Raiders fans are not on the list is beyond me.

Yes those and the bengals fans not on that list is odd.

To follow those teams for so long with only a decent season sprinkled in is what a fan is about.

I thought Cowboy fans were great till I went to Cleveland to visit my Ex wife's family back in the late 90's.

Those people are true fans ....... I think its when I started being disgusted by pretend Cowboy fans who constantly badmouth their team.

;) Birth of the Troll of Trolls ....... :laugh1:

Completely agree regarding Cleveland. The fans fill that place regardless of record. They are pretty crazy too.

I don't know about the Raiders. They are at the bottom of the league in attendance almost every year. The team is bad, but not the worst.
The people that do go are rabid though.

lol Patriots fans? When? After winning three superbowls? Where did those fans go after getting whipped in the 1985 superbowl against the Bears?

Jets fans don't show up for football, the show up to drink beer and tell women to pull up their shirts.
