I seriously think its time to give the game a complete overhaul. It has been basically the same the last 4 or 5 years, with minor tweaks. This would not be such a problem, but there are so many things wrong with the game that it is inexcusable.

Well the gameplay is awesome, the features... not so much. I love the game personally, some of my friends i've shown it to said it sucks.

One issue they havn't touched in years is how the actual players look.

They added the lighting on the helmet but the players arms and legs are super smooth. There is no detail at all. Same with the players pads. They are way to smooth looking.

I love Madden, but they are seriously just re-producing the same game graphics wise each year for the most part. They add nice little sideline shots that look good, but the in-game graphics are identical.

Everything looks to smooth. They need dirty uniforms and field degeneration.

milesfanboy is right, Backbreaker has amazing gameplay, but the teams and the lack of features is kinda rough... for instance, it has no NFL license, but you can recreate all the NFL teams pretty dang accurately, but you can't edit players, so you can have the cowboys, but no Romo, Ware, Witten... which sucks.

but just download the demo on xbox live, and run the ball a few times, and you will realize how much maddan's gameplay sucks...

if EA was smart, they would buy Natural Motion and use the tech for madden..

I played the ncaa demo and was impressed. The overall feel of the game changed. I hope the same can be said for madden.

What i don't understand is that they use the same game every year and add to it. You would think they would be able to make great leaps each year, but thats not the case.

A lot of things that were on the old systems still are not on the next gen games. Progressive lighting, dirty uniforms, great franchise mode. I don't know why these things have not made it to the next gen systems yet

its a simple answer, because of the NFL exclusive license.. Madden knows that everyone will buy madden cause it has the teams and players.. there is no competition, so madden rests on that, and get lazy, if NFL 2k was still being made, madden would be better for it.. they need someone to compete with.

I look forward to it every year but you have to admit that the improvements are very marginal.

This year has a chance to be different though.

The technology is out there to make it realistic too. Backbreaker has shown that.

Im expecting Madden 10 to be bigtime this year though. Better than NCAA 11.

do you have NCAA 11? What do you think about it?

I have it and I like the improvements to the presentation and the majority of the game play but a few things about it definitely irritate me.
