Mailbag: Will MM use smaller WR's

The fan question asking if a WR such as Ray Flowers would fit into MM's system since they also got Cooks.
As the answer was it could be, since MM had Randall Cobb as well.

That is ok, but I always like the team to have a bigger WR as well. Dallas seems to like them between 6-0 and 6-2. I think they lack a 6-4 type big body, fast that is a threat in the end zone, and for 1st downs. A big body that out muscles a defender for the ball.

For some reason it looks as Patrik's answer was cut off. Maybe they get that fixed.

Mike McCarthy’s history in GB was mostly about big, fast receivers, but more importantly, his offense is about YAC. That’s why big receivers with speed are desirable. That’s why Lamb is spending time this summer working on YAC. However, a smaller receiver who can separate and is nifty in the open field can be productive. Cole Beasley was great for us as a possession receiver getting open, but he didn’t break tackles, make guys miss, and turn little plays into big ones. He’s not the type McCarthy prefers.
