Years ago this was an offensive question we had about Jason Garret, later was Kellen Moore. Now it seems that we're questioning Dan Quinn about making adjustments for the defense. As a coaching staff, is the game plan during the week the END ALL BE ALL and that's it? How long does it take to switch from what we've put in, due to how the opposing team is playing?

I know at half time 13 minutes really isn't a lot of time, but what can be done to make adjustments in games whether it's on offense or defense. Please give your thoughts

It seems as this question does in fact keep popping up over the years with no real answer. I know playing high school football we made adjustments at half time every game. Granted this is Professional football, but I still feel like half time adjustments are part of the game just like they were 30+ years ago in high school ball. Surely if you are getting blown up the first half you don't just say "oh well that is the game plan we practiced all week".

If you have ever coached you know it is easier said than done to make in game changes outside of halftime. Fans and coaches see the game differently because of what they are looking for.

Coaches talk to the players about what's happening on particular problematic plays, and work together to formulate an adjustment to shut the opponents successful plays down. Most teams make adjustments every game it's not that deep.
