What is the problem?

1) The line just isn't very tough or they aren't strong enough
2) Coaching. Is the scheme something wierd or out of the ordinary?

Would trying to acquire better lineman even make a diff?

It's still early in the pre-season and people are moving all over the line trying to find their place. After things settle out a little and people find their workplace, things ought to pick up some.

I think the line play will get better, BP is still moving guys around to get an ideal of the groupings they will use. I think as things settle down improvement in the run blocking will get better. I think pass protection wise the line has done a pretty good job

I hope so- because right now it looks just like last year.

1. We haven't invested a first rounder in the line in like 25 years
2. the high picks we have used have been busts (Rogers, Peterman, Johnson)
3. The Free Agents we have signed have been busts as well (Young, Fabini) or not near as good as advertised (Rivera).:bang2:

Rivera actually is beginning to look like what we thought we got- good run blocker but VERY good pass blocker. Petitti, McQuistan and Columbo make up for the busts of ROgers and Peterman. Proctor might look good as well. Johnson iskind of a bust since he appears to have lost his starting job.
