With Jayron Kearse gone I can see a huge year for Bell as the third safety. I know the minicamp buzz was about Juanyeh Thomas, but Bell has a lot more game experience.

Good stuff I don’t think people know how hard it is to transition from a HBCU to the NFL. Some don’t even get a shot. Seems like more and more are lately though. Glad he got acknowledged…..

Bell will play rover. Thomas will likely be the primary back-up safety and I think he starts over Hooker at some point this season.

HBCUs have been having "Pro Days" on their campuses the last few years...and NFL team scouts and coaches have been in attendance.

NFL needs draft these deserving players instead of having them as UDFA. HBCU players are NFL history and the NFL has been actually neglecting the legacy and history not being equitable in drafting players from HBCUs.

Not funny (if it was meant to be funny). Especially with all the bust drafted for major colleges and HBCU players like Bell, not only make the team but play 2 positions.
Recently the few players (very very few) from HBCUs that were drafted made the team and most of the UDFA make the roster or practice squad. There is definitely a disconnect that the player can start, make the roster, or practice squad but is not worthy of a draft pick.
