Has anyone seen the show? If so, what are your thoughts?

I had been watching off and on the last few seasons (my wife and Mom love the show) but this season I actually took the time to watch it.

I’m surprisngly hooked, it’s not cheesy or corny for the most part and the dynamics of the couples is what I find interesting. Also the obvious fact that 2 strangers blind marry each other and make a marriage/relationship work while getting to know each other on a sped up timeline.

off-topic, but this is the off-topic zone so... :muttley:

As most of you know,. I cut the cord a long time ago. Recently, (meaning, last October) I was at a friends house and he was watching a movie on TV. So I sat down and started watching, and for the first hour it kept going to commercial and it would go for a long time and I was completely frustrated by this. I asked him why the heck are they going to commercial so often and for so long.

His response was that is the way it always has been. Wow, back when I would watch TV, I never realized how inundated you are with commercials. You do not realize how bad it really is until you no longer watch commercials.

I've been ruined. I will absolutely NEVER go back to broadcast TV. Hell, even my YouTube doesn't have banners or "pre-watch" commercials because I have YouTube Red that comes with my Google Music account.

I just record the network stuff I may be interested in and skip through the commercials.

Cut the chord last year - no more TV bills - Amazon Fire Box - with Kodi - Exodus.
Free TV.

I've watched the show a couple of times... Interesting concept.

I'd have to think a large percentage do not pan out, but on the flip side I would bet more succeed than what many would think.

As a side note I've never believed the whole "There's only one person for me– my soulmate".

I think the whole "soul-mate" thing is utter crap.

I think for each of us there are MANY potential partners who can provide a life-time of love and enjoyment.

I've seen the first season, sucked in by the train wreck of it all.

Surprising how many times attractive women get sucked into relationships with doofy dudes once they get to know them a little bit. There's a lot to be said for just knowing how to be a decent dude.

I've watched all seasons of the original Danish series (Gift Ved Første Blik - yeah, it means the same thing...)

It hasn't been that many couples staying together. Most of them split after a few months. Typically because the females are never satisfied with anything and would make a problem out of everything.

Most women don’t think that way.

Most women don’t think that way.

Well, it’s unusual that they are in situations where they spend that much concentrated time with a dude they’re not into off the bat.

I did cut the cord over 25 years ago and I am in peace with myself.(I don't even have a TV at home)
It is very liberating indeed at least for me.
When I have free time I check you tube for some music or interesting clips but that's all.

Watched season 1 just to see how it ended. Overall, too much damn drama. It's just a made up "reality" TV show because that's what everyone wants now. Lots of those popping up the last few years. Most are a waste of time. Ready for real TV shows to come back or reruns of old series that were good.

I couldn't agree more. I can't watch "reality" television shows. They seem to feature scripted scenes with cameramen setup in the best spots to get every angle, contrived drama, and hardly any reality.
