If Brian Schottenhiemer is like his dad, he's the real deal. I had always hoped Marty Schottenheimer would come to Dallas. His ethics were great, and from what I had seen, he was the kind of man you wanted to be around.
However, the fact that Jerry hired Brian to compliment Dak Prescott means Brian Schottenheimer is destined to relive McCarthy's fate. Jerry's in deep with Dak, and he is unwilling to correct one of the worst decisions he's ever made to see the Cowboys achieve greatness.
I wish Brian well, but I will only be casually looking in- the same way you rubberneck at a car crash when you drive by it.
As I have said, Prescott's extension means it will likely be at least ten years before the rebuild that could restore the Cowboys to greatness can occur.
And that's too long to wait.

More like rubbernecking multiple wrecks. Careful. You might cause a wreck yourself rubbernecking so much.

We have a lot of these, I'm done or I'm outta here, fans...they're still here. We need to post the name of a good locksmith! Lol...open that door, already! And, don't slam it on your rubberneck as you walk out.

Being on the forum to discuss things is not the same as still being vested in the Cowboys success.

how time heals wounds and memories fade.

Marty Schottenheimer was probably the biggest choker in the history of American football. McCarthy, Garrett, Dak, Romo… none of this comes close to Schottenheimer’s choke jobs.

Hopefully Brian only inherited some of his father’s traits.

No matter what, Jerral will keep schotty until the end of the contract because he is too cheap, and too cowardly, to fire anyone.

Marty would have fit in well.

28 seasons as an NFL HC and not a single Super Bowl. That takes a special skill, the type that Jerry admires.

There is Murphy's Law; Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Then there is Schottenheimer's Law; Murphy was overly optimistic.

this is about as stupid as posters who thought bad players would get better because good players were teaching them.

its not as simple as that.

He choked in Seattle and was let go.
