Gibbs to Dallas is kinda starting to pick up with a week to go.

Should be interesting what rumors we here next week.

I fully expect Dallas to do the basic Bland thing and get a guy that doesn’t make us much better if at all in Michael Mayer.

If Dallas takes a tight end at 26 it will be Washington. They worked him out at the combine and he has one of the best RAS scores ever for a tight end. I think it is a similar situation with Tyler and the two guards everyone thought we would take last season. I think it will be like when people asked why they took Tyler over Lendebaum. Stephen said Tyler had better measurements.

I think they look at Mayer and they just think Witten.

It’s just such a boring pick and the dude is so limited as a player.

The thing I like about Washington is you’re going to get the edge blocked on your running plays.

When he steps onto the field we instantly have the best blocking TE in football and he has potential to go pure beast mode down the field in the pass game.

I do think Mayer is going to be better at all the short stuff though and getting open quicker.

I think the media thinks Witten and that is why they are speculating Mayer to us. Similar to the rumors that we are desperate for Robinson because and we need another bell cow back. I think Mayer and Kincaid will be off the board by 26. The Cowboys have been working on Washington all draft season along with McDonald/Forbes and others. The Cowboys will take the best talent at 26.

I’ve been thinking about Gibbs for sometime. 200 pounds with his speed and jitterbug Capabilities and receiving skills has great star potential. People say he’s another Pollard I say give me to pollards uncle that

If Dallas doesn’t take Gibbs at 26… I think Philly is going to take him at 30 and the Cowboys will face him twice (or more) per year.

Normally, if Howie is interested in the same player they think Dallas is, he’ll trade up to get in front of the Cowboys. However, this is a different situation IMO, with it being RB and in the first round. He won’t want everyone saying they spent a first plus extra picks on a RB, so I don’t think he’ll do it.

So, Gibbs will likely be there at 26. It’ll just be up to Dallas if they like Gibbs enough or not.

Gibbs is dynamic. And I would have no problem taking him at 26. I would trust that they have a plan for such a unique weapon.

The Dallas brass have been extremely quiet really, like last year, as far as who we like at 26. Even last year we heard rumors that we liked Smith but heck, we don't really hear anything at all right now from the star. This is a great thing btw. Means all things are in play.
