Maybe Dak could just step away from football for a bit?

Maybe he could jsut rest his mind spirit and body. He’s been paid well but he’s still human and he probably is hurting.

I wonder if they could jsut pay him
But he takes a year away from the team to recharge and reshape his body ya know

He seemed stress and unhappy in the press box. Does he even have to be there ? Why not just rest up with the family

heh.. The thing about leadership is eventually you have to put your money where your mouth is....and that is something Dak hasn't done and can't do. When the time comes for it, he chokes every time.
Only in your mind bro. Totally dishonest response.

Dude, he’s out for the season with an injury. He should look unhappy. Yes he has to be there, he’s part of the team and helps Rush. Any player would look unhappy having to sit out of games with an injury.

The way Rush plays he wont see the field again for a long time.

When you have the feeling you are losing your place on the field where you already lost all credibility inside the locker room you need to show presence. Thats what he does. And thats all left he is able to do.

But yes it would be better for all involved that he walks away. Not only from the game. Walk away... just far far away. And take DFlaw with you.

He is supposed to be the #1 leader on this team.

Those type of players don't take a year off.
I don't think Dak is that type of player. I imagine he wouldn't have any issue whatsoever taking the year off. Right now he's the highest paid player ever to be a spectator in the press box, and he seemed quite content in that role yesterday.

Prescott is the perfect quarterback. He’s done so much with so little. Totally over achieved the last three seasons. Imagine if he had a defense we would’ve had two rings by now.

If he looked stressed to you in the press box, it's probably just because he was so busy rounding up every single water bottle in the stadium.

If he did this then his harshest critics would just say that he is "quitting" on the team. There have already been accusations from them that he "faked" his injury and just decided to quit because of how rough the season has been for him when it comes to QB play and the Cowboys struggling. Some even are going as far as to claim that Jerry "lied" about Dak having surgery as a cover up for Dak "quitting."

I disagree. We saw evidence of his lack of stepping up affecting how his team treated him a few times. They lost faith to some degree. If you've lost faith as a leader, it's nearly impossible to get it back, which is why coaches get fired. He was a leader. That's not in question. But somewhere down the line, be it his ankle injury or the hype and his first contract, he lost it and his play didn't make up for it come playoff time. Keep in mind, all of my statements are not stated as fact, but as my opinion on it. I'm well aware of the difference.

I just don't think he's the leader he was before and a lot of it stems from deeds compared to words and stupid stuff like "It's for the brotherhood" when talking about getting a high paying contract for QB's as opposed to looking out to what's best for HIS team.
