Jerry and Co. know more about football than any 10 people here combined. They’ve assembled a top notch off the field staff. Nobody here wants the Cowboys to win more than JJ, no matter what the bloviating crowd here thinks.

A few years ago, 80% of the folks here thought Wentz was the best QB in our division. No.

Two years ago, the majority of users thought we should sign Rodgers. No.

Injuries, especially the kind we’ve endured this year, will sink any team. Many here thought Kyle Shanahan would be a huge upgrade over MM. How’s Kyle making out this year? SF looks a lot like the Cowboys this year.

Fact: Yes, our team is bad this year, but that’s following three 12 win seasons, something we haven’t seen in 30 years. Do I want more playoff success? Of course, but you have to be in it to win it, and there are no coaches available that give us a better chance next year than MM. As far as players go, a team can only have so much depth with the salary cap. An NFL team can’t operate using the Moneyball strategy, so getting and keeping good players matters. Now I see posters thinking we should trade Parsons. What is wrong with people? Staying healthy is a crap shoot in the league, but if we’re healthy, I like our chances.

If you created this thread in response to Cavanaugh's "we can restructure the cap, they're lying to us" clip then your assumption that money is tight is correct......what's missing is that 'money's tight' because of Jerry's: woeful decisions, inability to evaluate talent, trade and his obsession with star names rather than playing ability.
We were ALL-IN last year, well as close as Jerry will get to it.....the ultimate ALL-IN act would of been to of traded for Henry (which as it played out wouldnt of mattered, and on a mid-term basis was lucky we didnt).
This isnt so much of an attack on Dak, however, how would the future look if Jerry hadnt panicked and given him that contract?

they may know about football, but its about priorities and goals. their top goal is not to win a championship. not that its not a goal. it is, but its not top priority so as a result cowboys always lack. their goal is to maximize profits which they are very good at. they lie about, not having cap space, yet here is detroit and philly, each of them have 5 or 6 of the top 5 position contracts on their team. similar to cowboys (4)..... yet they are able to add talent, manuver FA and the cap and be competitive. yet the cowboys are seemingly handicapped by the cap...because of 5M!!!??...every one says, the 60M is handicapping cowboys, yet Goff is at 53 and Hurts is at 52M average..... you want to tell me 7M is handicapping cowboys organization!!! they can't manuver they way around 7M of extra cap space!!!! and we become bottom feeders.
