Alex Barron
T, Florida State
War Room analysis
Strengths: When in proper position, is virtually unbeatable. Has a rare combination of size, strength and athleticism. Shows very quick feet; rarely gets beat on the edge by speed rushers. Punishing as a run blocker. Simply flicks away smaller defenders. Sets quickly in pass protection. Gets good separation with spacious wingspan.

Weaknesses: Technique needs work. Emerged as a big-time prospect only last season after injuries slowed down his progress. Doesn't always take the best angles. Sometimes plays too high.

Bottom line: Barron has the potential to become an outstanding NFL tackle. He needs to improve in some areas, but another productive and healthy season should help him immensely. Expect Barron to be the first tackle selected in 2005.

i doubt we go that route. plus i think he'll be long gone by the time our pick rolls around. him and brown from oklahoma are really the only guys who are legitimte 1st rounders and teams who need OT's are gonna pick them up quickly

But to have another dominant OT - solidify line for a decade.

The only type of tackle we take has defensive in front of it. I doubt we take an OL in 1. It just doesn't add up. Only offensive player I could see us taking in 1 is a WR if one slots out right.
