I think Pettis is an underrated receiver and agree with Mayock's ranking. I think he's the best receiver in the draft with the ball in his hands.

Arden Key smells like our second round pick if he’s there.

Judging by history from the last 5 years, our 1st or 2nd round pick will most likely be someone from the Big Ten so it's looking good if you're a Maurice Hurst fan.

I really hate Top 5 lists where someone has 2 or 3 way ties for the 5th position. It's not a Top 5 list then. Make up your mind, jeez!! Mayock does this with his lists every year, and it's silly.

It just tells me that it more likely that position won't be picked clean in the second round.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. He certainly fits the risk profile associated with the round for the Cowboys.

Key has been creeping back into the 1st round in recent mocks. Before it's said and done, unless he completely blows the interview process, he's going to be a mid 1st round pick. Too much ability as a pass rusher not to!

What's it going to be then, eh?

We need to buck that tendency. I get it if you mine good programs that seem to churn out prospects at a certain position, but when you concentrate too much on a conference, you tend to water out what you are bringing in. It is one thing to go for LBs from Penn State, OL from Wisconsin, etc. But to just think a conference's style is superior is a bit myopic.
