Lived in Milwaukee for a few years, so I saw Mike a bit before moving to the west coast and dude doesn’t seem to be going through the motions. Reminds me of the Campo final season. Campo didn’t seem to really be sweating . Like he was waiting for it to be over. Garret and Cupcake looked visibly stressed their last games.

Seems to be accepting of the situation, which is bad for us the fans.

1. Dude was down 3 scores and kicked a field goal like it really meant something.

2. Luemke wasn’t involve in the offense after being a nice weapon the pass 2 weeks

3. Dowdle was averaging 5 year a carry and he still chose feed Zeke instead

4. Not using challenges.

5. No adjustment to the blocking schemes.

1. He's acting like Jason Garret, "hey guys let's just get what we can get, we love you guys and we want to get points whatever way we can!!

2. Lupeke I watched it closely, the ONLY time he was on the field was on 3rd down, it drove me crazy, every single 3rd down, like what is he here to do just be the 3rd down back, he's more versatile than this!!

3. Blame the Zeke meeting

McCarthy can't go on the field and play for his players. They have to produce themselves. I understand he gave the team a pretty good talking to after the game. I don't know if it means anything because I still think it is the lack of talent on this team.

But I was not pleased with his decision to kick a FG from the Lions 32 down 34-6 late in the 3rd quarter. It was 4th and 12 but I still would have gone for it. Maybe force an offsides or a PI or something but the FG was meaningless. Earlier in the game, with about 2:45 left in the half he went for a 4th down on his own 38 and failed. I would have punted their. Detroit took the short field and score another TD. Maybe they would have score had he punted too, but at least make them got the greater distance to score. Make something happen maybe?

I was surprised they did not use Luepke more. They seemed to focus on CeeDee and Fergusons the entire first half. I would have run more, tried more screens, and spread the ball around.

I'm not sure I agree with everything you say but I agree with the premise.... For sure Mike McCarthy maybe shouldn't be fired but he should be relieved of his offensive play calling... If one thing needs to happen over the bye week Jerry says no one's gonna be fired how about demoted?

Nothing can be as bad as doing with the list like you said Rico needs 15-20 carries a game Hunter used more, Zeke deactivated, Dalvin elevated, the play calls dont seem planned out well players running into each other or their routes are ran wrong or schemed into the same area with other players.

this can all be resolved at the bye week in practice ,film study, whatever.

But all these posts keep triggering me how could you not see that most of the problems on defense?! 80% of our issues are Defense!!!!!,, Offense cant play well when one dimensional and constantly down 13-20 points BY THE HALF!! BY HALFTIME

you're asking an offense to be perfect you know how tight you play and maybe also the OC/PC also tight trying to protect the defense.

When you're about to get a 10 year extension I wouldn't be worried either

None of us get to sit in on any of the coaches meetings, but it would appear that Jerry's history of being over involved is in play here. I have a hard time believing that its a coaches decision to sit Rico in favor of Zeke after he complained about touches.

When I watch the game I see an offensive play caller who is trying. Every week we see some new gadgets, early in the year it was a focus on getting Turpin the ball in the flats. They started to open the pass game a little bit, you're seeing more motion. This week they ran different formations trying to get better looks in the run game.

I think the reality is setting in for McCarthy that he simply doesn't have the quality of roster needed. Combine that with 4 years of Jerry/Stephen and the knowledge that they have zero interest in going out and getting help and we would all probably be a little apathetic too.

Is there the possibility he has already been told he is being fired at end of season come what may?

Just happy to collect his checks until the end of the season when I assume he will be let go.

I assume, because Jerry just might extend Big Mike as another middle finger to the fans for daring to not like Jerry's GM moves.

Why should he be? Being a lame duck coach is the worst case scenario for any coach. He knows his tenure is done here. Honestly, should have been fired after the GB playoff loss because we knew it wasn't going to get better this year. So, no reason to bring him back for a lame duck year. Cut your losses and move on. Mike knows he won't be here long term so why bother? Just a terrible environment for everyone involved. Players know he won't be here after this year, too.

Maybe he has his priorities in order.......meaning losing an NFL head coaching job isn't the end of the world, especially when you have a wife and family. Not to mention, he should bounce back as OC somewhere.

I can’t speak to much of that, but can point out one massive difference……

Last time he had to put on a show for his next HC job.

Removing interim situations, I can’t think of anyone who got a third shot as HC. He is also now set for life financially.

He makes about 100k a week until March, and will probably take a year off before settling into a QB coach deal somewhere.

Dude has made 25 million just in the last 5 years alone. Not counting what he made in Green Bay.

What’s his worst case scenario. He retires after this season and gets to spend the rest of his life doing whatever else he wants?

Let’s be real. There’s no urgency. He knows he is gone after this year.

If he moves any faster he'll go into cardiac arrest.

Isn't it too late to be desperate?
What can he do now that would make any difference?
