There so much stuff that McCarthy does that improves this team over how Garrett used to run things. McCarthy may not be perfect, but neither is any other coach in the world, including Sean Payton. It boggles my mind how quickly people on this forum want to run Mike out of town. We just won 12 games in back to back seasons and his first year here was COVID restricted and he couldn’t even meet in person with his players to teach his new system and expectations so who knows how much better that season could have been. McCarthy is the best coach that this team has had in a loooooooong time.

Defense carried the team early on.

The running game was doing well for a while too.

The passing game was struggling compared to past years.

And now?

The defense is making everyone look good and the running game is shut down.

Meanwhile, the passing game looks like it’s on the rise.

Why can’t this team manage to put all phases together?

Well he had a completely new DC and I would think that McCarthy had some influence on the offense as well.

Injuries to two corners didn’t help. And than add in your starting LB when you only play two. Micah is gassed as well. Hopefully they realize it’s all or nothing in a couple of weeks. Plenty of time to rest up if you lose.
