If it is true that Fat Mac is going to take over play calling, I'm afraid we're in for the biggest misuse of talent the Cowboys have ever seen! Supposedly the Jones' have a solid relationship with Sean Payton and SP has spoken in the past about possibly being the Cowboys Coach someday. So if Sean Payton had come in for Fat Mac, THEN you can let Kellen go. The last two seasons the Offense has been #1 and #11 in total offense, even with Dak playing terrible at times, especially this season! We already have the best D-Coordinator in the game and he's staying! However, you can't change the stripes of our QB and Dak will never be the guy to lead the Boys to a Championship under these conditions. Wouldn't the Jones' think that maybe Payton or someone of his pedigree with QB's could help coach Dak up in a way he's never been coached? Dak needs help and Fat Mac will only make it worse with his coddling and his constantly blowing smoke up Dak's As*! This team is soooo close, maybe 1 receiver, another RB and 1 more solid lineman & this offense is built to go in the future, again minus one glaring issue! It's going to be a long 2-3 years until Dak's CAP number goes away and the only thing we can hope for is that we still have a team left to make a run after Dak is GONE!!

Isn't McCarthy known as a bit of a QB guru himself? I think you bring in Payton and he just goes from legend to whipping boy for the fan base, only now you lose a 1st round draft pick in the process.

Doesn’t seem as if teams are lining up to give the Saints a first round pick and also pay 25m a year for Payton.

Kinda tells me neither is going to eventually happen.

More like a third rounder and 15 per.

One or both of the LA jobs and Dallas should open up within two years, and like Quinn, Payton would we wise to wait as opposed to jumping into a no QB situation.

It's valuable because of the history, branding and marketing. Nothing to do with the way it's managed and ran. But winning 12 games certainly helps.
