It appeared that our DC Mike Zimmer made adjustments over the last few weeks. Is he to be anointed, absolutely not. It appears that he's saying, i'm not going to keep letting teams run the ball down my throat, I'm going to adjust. Mike McCarthy on the other hand as the offensive play caller, appears to be going backwards. The routes and plays we saw in our recent games haven't been anything to be happy about/let alone all season. Last weeks games, seeing guys run short routes only, throwing balls at players feet, and the communication not being there has been so painful to watch. It kind of seems that MM is tapped out already!!!! Can we blame him?

From an adjustments point of view, have you seen a difference, who has done better doing better with the little they have? Please give your thoughts

I don't know how many games "the last few weeks" is to you, but the last 4 games the Cowboys have allowed:

DET- 47
SF - 30
ATL - 27
PHIL - 34

Additionally, these are just the 2nd half scores:

DET - 20-3
SF - 24-14
ATL - 13-11
PHIL - 20-0

So they have been outscored 77-28 in just the 2nd halves alone.

It doesn't appear Zimmer is making any adjustments to me. And if there are any halftime adjustments being made, I see no evidence of that at all either.

The adjustments from the coaches are not going to matter much when the adjustments from the FO have not been significant.

You can go with all the stats that's fine, i'm just saying there seems that Zimmer is trying at least in some degree, he doesn't need to be anointed. He's come up with some different formations on defense to help stop the run, that in itself is an adjustment

Both sides have been terrible at making adjustments. I don't see anything to say they're making any kind of adjustments during a game

It looks like you aren't making adjustments when you don't have the players.

Mike did make adjustments. He got rid of KM and said he isn't interested in scoring points. Thus began last years 6 game opening stretch of offensive terribleness. Seems he relented and got things a bit more normal to end the season but he absolutely changed the offense back to the stone age and here we sit.

Im not convinced Zimmer makes adjustments. Our defense gets torched after halftime. And we don't do nothing about it.

it appears that we got Parsons back, a top 3 defensive player in the league and have had Diggs back for a couple of games now.....talent makes a lot of differene.

McCarthy figuring it out......
