Used to read Mcginn in journal sentinel, now i pay for 1 month of go long to read his interviews with scouts.

today was wr and tightends. long story short, scouts hate these wrs.

Michael Mayer led with 10 firsts and 68 ½ points, followed by Dalton Kincaid (61, five firsts), Darnell Washington (40, one), Sam LaPorta (26 ½), Luke Musgrave (21), Tucker Kraft (11), Luke Schoonmaker (10) and Brenton Strange (two).

Jaxon Smith-Njigba led with five firsts and 57 points, followed by Quentin Johnston (53, seven), Jordan Addison (48, three), Zay Flowers (43, one), Jalin Hyatt (17), Josh Downs (seven), Xavier Hutchinson (four), Cedric Tillman (four), Jonathan Mingo (three), Michael Wilson (two), Jason Brownlee (one) and Marvin Mims (one).

Not one scout spoke with conviction about any wide receiver assuming the role of a true No. 1 “out of the can,” as one AFC exec put it.

Drew Sanders in our front 7 is intriguing to me.

I honestly think that guy could increase Parsons production and make our front 7 ridiculously dynamic with the things they could do with disguising the linebackers and rushers.

unfortunately that means teams in front of us will be gobbling up other positions that we could actually use.

In my opinion, interior OL is the biggest need on the team and there will almost definitely be a plug-and-play starter available at 26. It just might not be a name that everyone expects.

I honestly think that guy could increase Parsons production and make our front 7 ridiculously dynamic with the things they could do with disguising the linebackers and rushers.

Would be fun to watch Quinn get to use Sanders. I also think Sanders would keep Parsons from wearing down as you could drop Parsons back and not have him constantly getting pounded on by OTs.

That's a good assessment. I don't really see any Chirs Spielman of Sean Lee type LBs that have outstanding instincts in this draft but Sanders seems to see the field better than a lot of them in only one year at the position.

My first thought when watching Sanders is he makes Parsons better and more of a problem for opposing teams.

Our blitz packages would be nuts.

This is why the TE's are getting pushed up this yr, the WR class just is average at best.

It also means there'll be a run on WRs on the second round.

I can see the Cowboys targeting Demus.

I agree OL needs addressed but if WR's are being pushed down doesn't that increase the odds other teams take all of the OL that are anywhere near a first round grade ahead of us?

We need selections from all the position groups ahead of us to leave some decent selections IMO.

Jack Campbell has crazy good instincts. Great vision for LB. I think he’s going to be very good.

I do like Sanders a lot though. After playing the position for another couple of seasons… he might end up with those kind of instincts.

Good Catch, I hadn't looked at him but you may be right. Stat wise he had more total tackles than Sanders which is saying something.

Overview
Inside linebacker who is built for the box and plays with good overall physicality. Campbell’s size allows him to challenge blocks and stand his ground despite inconsistent hand usage at the take-on point. He scrapes and plugs his run fits with workmanlike dependability but lacks the short-area burst and reactive athleticism teams typically look for from NFL starters. He plays with above-average field awareness. He’s capable as a zone defender and in some matchups against in-line tight ends. What you see is what you get with Campbell, and teams will need to balance the consistency with the playmaking limitations in their evaluations.
