I can remember a time when Donovan McNabb owned the Dallas Cowboys. The specific play that comes to mind is the one that lasted 14.1 seconds on "Monday Night Football" in November 2004. In addition to producing that iconic completion to -- who else? -- Freddie Mitchell, McNabb threw for 345 yards and four touchdowns in leading the Eagles to a 49-21 victory.

But those memories have faded in recent years. McNabb has lost seven of his last 10 games against the Cowboys, including all three matchups last season. Never mind that McNabb and the Eagles swept the other two NFC East teams in 2009. I think his recent failures against the Cowboys are a large part of why the Kevin Kolb era finally got off the ground in Philly.

totally agree, I think Kolb still has to do it, and sometimes first year qbs have a rough time in nfl. I think kolb will have some trouble to a degree, kinda like the packers qb rodgers, his first year, he had alittle trouble too, starting out, just takes time to see all defenses coming at you

so our biggest competition i think we will face will be the giants, especially since they beat us last year twice,

Ware gonna get him some Chunky Soup on Sunday Night. :starspin

hey, wouldnt that be a great commercial,
after skins game, if we beat them, chunky soup contacts our defense
ratliff, ware, spencer, igor, etc... and they all say how good chunky soup is good, showing footage of us sacking mcnabb over and over as skins qb, and then our players lick their lips, saying, mmmmmmm yummy mcnabb chunky soup :D

I flew out to Dallas for that game. That was awful. Had a great time, but boy was that game terrible. TO scored on us 3 times I believe. I ended up sleeping on the airport floor that night waiting for my 5 AM flight to get back for a midterm on that Tuesday afternoon.

Hostile, you just stated the other day that last year was last year.

This is a new year, with a new team. Why dwell on the past at this point ?

I wish someone could find the .gif of McNabb getting hit in the head with the Chunky soup can from the playoff game air guitar and then running toward the fans like they threw it.
