I blame Clarence hill and the one guy who left a few months ago who's on a bigger platform that was a cowboys writer

I grew up loving newspapers and sports reporting but man I just don't know where the industry is going.
Hope all the quality reporters find livable wages and can really pour into sharing sports education and entertainment with the masses.

There's still plenty of money in it, but quality? meh

Man......there was a time in the 80s I read 3 newspapers a day ( St.Pete Times, Tampa Tribune and USA Today). Back then, you could buy a newspaper on damn near every corner of the street. What's interesting is news back then was much slower but had a higher level of integrity than now. Now it appears there is a race for the headlines but the hell with substances.

When I was a kid we got the Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Times Herald and I read both sports pages.
I loved them!
I use Apple News now and get tons of newspaper for pennies which is probably part of why the industry is struggling.

I had high hopes for the The Athletic but they sold out to the NYT and fired 90% of the locals.
We shall see what this DLLS does.

I don’t think I’ll notice—except I suppose all his material will now be banned from this site
Are we not allowed to post anything from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram too? To be honest, I don't read anything from there anyway.
