After the Saints game, they will create a nickname and feel themselves even more. It always ends in them getting a smack down when they are chirping the most and then the cycle repeats. Good game but they haven’t done squat.

Quinn was also one of the best in the game
Quinn did a great job building and running the defense. Sad he left.

Zimmer is a different personality. He demands discipline on the field and you could see it in how they filled their gaps and swarmed. Didn't see much overpursuing, great gap control, and assignment discipline. They overwhelmed Clevelands line to the point of Watson being battered, over and over again. They essentially shut down one of the better rushing attacks from last season, although they were missing some pieces. They also looked stronger in the middle against the pass and run. Personnel wise and schematically, this unit looks really good. Time will tell if they've improved.

Until teams ran the ball against his defenses. Check out how the Commanders got gashed on the ground today by the Bucs.

__________

Not sure I would call giving up 112 yds. on 30 carries (3.4 AVG, 31 LG, 0 TDS) a "gashing"?

WAS ran the ball significantly better than TB did today. (30/138, 4.6 AVG, 17 LG, 3 TDS)

I watched the game. You said Washington ran the ball better than the Bucs? Tell me how many of those rushing yards was by the Commander's quarterback. Then subtract his rushing yards from the overall rushing total and then tell me how many yards the Commander's RBs put up.....

Like I said... I watched the game and the Bucs were running through them at will.

I would rather have a DC from the Parcells Tree. That’s for sure. Remains to be seen how rest of season goes.
