LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Running back Michael Bush, the nation's leading scorer, will skip the NFL draft and return to Louisville for his senior season
"We're very excited about Michael's decision to return to the University of Louisville," coach Bobby Petrino said Thursday. "He's such an integral part of our offense and I look for him to have a huge senior season."
Bush ran for 1,143 yards on 205 carries and rushed for 23 touchdowns. He also caught one touchdown pass. He had 1,396 all-purpose yards for an average 139.6 per game, despite missing two games with a sprained foot.
Bush averaged 14.40 points per game. He ran for 159 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in a triple-overtime loss to West Virginia on Oct. 15.
Bush, a first team All-Big East player, had six 100-yard games, including a career-best 204 yards against Florida Atlantic.
