Michael Irvin on Dancing with the Stars

What was up with Michael on his debut in Dancing with the Stars? I know he's got rhythym but he sure didn't dance with it. Still, it was great fun to watch him and I hope he improves!

I expected him to do better. He was bad. Almost got the ax the first night, but I still enjoy seeing him any chance I get. Hes dripping charisma that I just love.

It's always harder to dance when you have to follow actual steps. I'm sure he freestyles it well enough.

That is so true, joe. Some people think because they're athletes, they are also good dancers. Nope. Michael Jordan was in a Micheal Jackson video (Jam) and Jackson tried to teach Jordan some dance moves in one of the out takes. Jordan could barely move his feet and we know what a great athlete he was. That's why I was so proud of Emmitt's accomplishment. He's a winner on the field and on the dance floor.

Yeah, he has said on his espn radio show at DFW, two things he sucks at is singing and dancing. He keeps saying, its his mid life crisis, that made him decide on going on dancing with stars

And yeah he was bad on his debut. But Jerry Rice and Emmit weren't good either on debut. But Irvin looked outright scared :laugh2:

Jason Taylor was also pretty darn good. Generally, the football players on the show have done well, I think Michael Irvin is about to break that streak. :laugh2:

Oh I hope not!! He did much better on the second dance. And he seems to be having a good time! He's too competitive not to improve - I'm thinking he'll do better next week.
