Been reading some of the articles at Philly.com to gauge their reaction to this game.

My advice for the Cowboys this week ? : prepare EXTRA for Michael Vick and the wildcat formation.

Andy Reid admitted he gave up on the run early. That wasn't an accident. He's dealing with, basically, a makeshift O-line, so he knows it's going to be extra tough to get the running game going. However, the way to combat that is by using Vick in the wildcat formation more often. He knows the Cowboys MUST respect Vick's ability to pass the ball just as much as his ability to run it and that will open up some natural lanes for Vick to run through.

My idea is to design a special defense exclusively for when Vick enters the game and lines up as a QB. I'd immediately take out either Brady or Brookings ( preferably Brady, who's the slowest of the two ) and put in Allan Ball. I'd move Ball to the Free Safety slot, and bring in Sensanbaugh to act as a spy for Vick. Where ever Vick goes, Sensanbaugh will be there and that's his only responsability for that play. If Vick drops back to pass, let the LBs and DE's rush, keep Ratliff and Sensanbaugh back for containment. If Vick runs the ball, make sure both DE's stay in their assigned lanes to contain, making the OLBs, Brookings and Sensanbaugh responsible for him.

Andy Reid is going to pull out ALL the stops this Saturday.

Please do. The Wildcat is garbage. Outside of Miami that formation hasn't done a whole lot.

Looks like Cribbs of Cleveland has benefited from it. Brad Smith of the Jets has done some things with it.

We dont need a special defense for Vick. Look at his season. He hasnt done anything. He hasnt completed passes. He gets caught everytime he tries to run. He has been a complete waste. No need for special defenses where we are making massive subs. Just line up as normal.

Wade Phillips and the rest fot he Cowboy defense would probably send Reid some late gift or something of they do.

Vick scares nobody, and his passing ability is a joke. He was a total non factor this yr, just as I thought when the stupid move was made to sign him.

I'd be surprised if they run it much. Bringing in new formation at this time of year and pinning your hopes on is a bit desperate.

Not true. It may have not worked all the time in Dallas, but Choice has had a few excellent runs with it. Yesterday the Jets scored on a long TD using it as an option.

But that's not the point. It's a heck of big difference having a guy like Vick, who not only can break a long run, but has experience and it's primarely a QB, and just some RB or 3rd string QB running it. He could create match up nightmares at the wrong time of the game.

we heard all this garbage with him when he was signed, and he hasnt done jack all year

the guys a waste

just said on the Norm Hitzguez show that the Beagles are going to feature Michael Vick this upcoming week. He said that's their way of slowing down the Cowboys' pass rush.

I'm telling you folks, the Cowboys better prepare for him because he's going to be a factor. Don't let Vick be the difference on a key play between a victory and a defeat.

Dallas just has to prepare for the Eagles wild cat and Vick. I'm sure Dallas expected to see it this past game and I know we prepared for it the 1st time we faced the eagles.

Dallas needs to prepare for everything, no stone unturned.

Flea Flicker
Vick
On side Kick to start off or at 3rd qtr kickoff

reid's sons spiking the Cowboys gatorade or puttin some extre "juice" in the egals gatorade.

ANYTHING. Prepare for as much as possible

You play him the same way you would McNabb...

You have a QB spy... the corners have to play disciplined and stay on their man regardless whether Vick starts to run and trust the guys up front to make the stop.

I really liked what teams started doing to Miami. After the hike, as soon as you see any lateral motion toward the Wildcat QB you have your CBs leave their men (to be picked up by safeties) and attack the ball/exchange.

I agree. I also think Vick has not been anything special. He had tried 13 passes and completed 6 of them for a whopping 46.2% completion rate. He has ran it decently but again nothing grand. Dallas does need to be aware of him when he is in the game but Vick has not shown himself to be a grand game changer. Philly bread and butter is the big plays from Jackson and Maclin

I beleive the Dallas defense will be ready for this game and once they stuff Vick on a couple of plays the Eagles will quickly put that BS away and try something that might actually work for them.

I welcome them trying to, in 6 days, use Vick more and more cause it will translate into disaster for them.

People say worry about what he might do. Of course you do but the other side of that coin is that Philly has to worry about what kind of mistake he might make in a critical area of the game because he's not nearly prepared enough.

How is it possible that Dallas can be the superior team so often and choke so hard? I don't really get it honestly.
